The Shield Belt is an item that generates a shield around the player, making him invulnerable to most attacks. However, the Shield Belt needs batteries to operate properly and has to recharge after a certain amount of damage taken, consuming one battery each time it recharges.
There are 4 types of Shield Belts, each one has a unique effects, except for Basic Shield Belt which has no effect. Effects trigger only after Shield Belts are destroyed.
The effect of Hard Shield Belt (Green) is "Harden". it provides a temporary orange coloured shield that works similarly to a regular Shield Belt.

In Survival Mode, the Shield Belt can be bought of Vending Machines for 250 Volts, each battery costs 10 Volts and each upgrade cost 200 (800 to max all upgrades). In other gamemodes such as Capture the Plug and Deathmatch, the player is usually already in possession of the belt and only needs to pick up the batteries.
The Beam Gun is one of the few weapons able to penetrate the shield belt, making it useful for combating other Metalfaces in survival.
Usage
After picking up a battery, the shield belt will become active after about 7 seconds.
