Local Multiplayer (aka Hotseat Multiplayer (one PC), not to be confused with LAN) was the only type of Multiplayer in the game, added in v102 Alpha.
It is currently available in Capture the Plug, Deathmatch, Story and Survival gamemodes, as well as the tutorial.

Setup

Local Multiplayer is achieved by using external gamepads that you plug into your computer. The number of players you can have is limited by the number of USB ports. Currently, you can only have one player play on the keyboard. You can have either one player on the keyboard, with others on gamepads, or all players on gamepads while playing Local Multiplayer. However, there is the possibility to virtualize a controller using keyboard keys, which enables Local Multiplayer on a single keyboard as seen here. Another option for using the same keyboard called JoytoKey is available here.

Gameplay

In Local Multiplayer there are five modes available to play- Capture the Plug, Deathmatch, Survival, Story Mode and Tutorial. Since the game is currently limited to a single screen, the camera is forced to stretch and shrink as the players move farther away from each other. This can, however, be changed in settings so that the camera only follows you (this will not affect Local Multiplayer as it is only a setting for use with bots). As well as this you can blind yourself from bot HUDs. In Story Mode, players will teleport to each other. If one player moves too far away, the other player will be teleported to their location.
