Chrono Bombs are throwable grenades. They slow down all things within a certain radius around themselves.
In-Game
Cobalt
In original Cobalt, chrono bombs can be found around Story Mode, rarely dropped, and more commonly bought.
Mostly wielded by robots such as Droids and Metaldroids, this is a rare sight to behold.
However, in Chapter 5, a special enemy named, 'The Chrono Guardian' (not to be confused with the Time Guardian) drops 3 of these grenades.
This grenade can be bought in survival mode at a 'Grenades' shop parlor, for 50 volts, and 35 on sale.
These slow down time, grenades and their arm times, bullets, all movement, and melee attacks.
This is the only counter to scoped shots, if you count precise rolling.
(Movement slowdown does not apply as much to a Metalface with Chrono Armor.)
WASD
In WASD, the Time Bomb is a protobot exclusive grenade that can be bought for 10 volts, and operates similarly to Cobalt's Chrono Bomb.
Upon activation, the bomb emits a 31 in-game meter long chrono field that slows down time around it, for 15 seconds.
This bomb slows down bullets, movement, grenades and their arm times, melee attacks, and equipment usage.
Currently, the Timeline Aura ability, only obtainable upon purchasing a Chrono Armor in the Protobot team, can nullify this effect.
(You move at normal speeds and perform actions at normal speeds, but bullets and similar actions are affected nevertheless.
Notes
- The closer anything (Bullets, Characters, ect) is to the Chrono Bomb, the slower it gets.
