Online Multiplayer is not implemented in the game. Only Local Multiplayer. Jacob William Jervey who is in charge of the online networking stated in a blog post that he would like to implement Online Multiplayer into the game, but that it's development has not started.[1] The Developers of the game have explicitly stated that there is no guarantee that Online Multiplayer will ever be in the game.
