Story Mode is the main game mode that Cobalt was built on. It has 7 chapters, along with optional combat and speed challenges. The main protagonist is Agent Cobalt, who is investigating a transmission from the colony Trunkopia after it appeared to have gone missing.
Plot
50 years before the events of the game, the human colony Trunkopia sent a distress signal to Earth. Agent Cobalt was picked to investigate the matter after 5 years, travelling aboard the interstellar spacecraft The Seed. After 45 years, Cobalt finally arrives at Trunkopia, where they can begin the investigation.
