The Main Menu (or just Menu) is the place where you can play the game, open the map editor (when going to the main menu via the editor), go to the Tutorial, check your achievements and statistics, change the settings or quit the game. At the bottom, random splashes scroll by (e.g. Tomorrow's weather report: Overcast). The top-right displays the current version of the game. The background music is the Main Menu Theme by anosou.
Trivia
- There is a map called NewMenu.map which is a map showing a landscape with a Shroom at the left and a Minute Jade on a table. Next to the Minute Jade is also a radio and a console that apparently does nothing. It was speculated that this meant the menu would've been a map, but this was not the case; it was probably an abandoned project. It can be seen in the video Cobalt - Action Teaser 2011 at 0:04.
- Formerly, the Main Menu had a "landscape" layout, which was changed in v124.
